ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

Who We Are
-
The purpose of the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum Foundation is to support the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum and the National Agricultural Aviation Museum in their mission to create an environment that communicates the value of past and present Mississippi agricultural lifestyles, relationships and practices and their relevance to the future of all people.
-
Our responsibility is to grow financial resources for maintaining the museum and to fund significant improvements to the artifacts, exhibits, and facilities.
The Foundation seeks to foster relationships with individuals, businesses, and other organizations who understand the importance of preserving the story of Mississippi’s agricultural and forestry-related history, and the need to present that story in an effective, enjoyable, and educational manner.
Without funding and support provided by such gracious donors, this historical story may gradually slip away from us.
-
The Foundation Board of Directors, the majority of whom are actively engaged in the agriculture or forestry industry in Mississippi, have coordinated with the museum leadership to designate these priority projects which require supplemental benefactor funding.
