Located in the heart of Jackson, MS, the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum spans 40 acres of hands-on fun and educational exploration for the whole family.
In addition to an iconic lineup of annual special events, the museum offers fun opportunities for exploration and for special programs throughout the year.
Step back in time as you walk through Small Town Mississippi, a collection of authentic historic buildings relocated from across the state.
Visit the Doctor’s Herb Garden, browse the Museum Learning Center, and then treat yourself to an old-fashioned candy or soda from the General Store.
Kids - and adults - will love meeting farm animals up close at the Children’s Barnyard!
The museum team brings the museum to life through interactive weekly programming such as Farm Facts with Farmer Brad, Gallery Chats with the Director of Collections, and other interpretive programs across the grounds.
Don’t miss special programs like First Saturday domestic arts, Folk Art Friday traditional trade program, and Storytime with Uncle Story – a favorite with younger visitors.
